About Michelle & Danielle:

This class birthed from a long history of friendship between Michelle and Danielle.

Danielle has been navigating chronic low back pain symptoms for nearly ten years and has used it as a pathway for deeper transformation. Her journey has included a combination of conventional physical treatments as well as modalities addressing the emotional and mental components of chronic pain. When she took Michelle’s Feldenkrais class, she experienced positive shifts in self-awareness, she released stuck patterns physically and emotionally, and relaxed into a more embodied state. She has been utilizing her pain symptoms as her pathway to healing, and she feels inspired to share her insights with others.

For nearly a decade, Danielle has been bringing her heartfelt insights to clients in many capacities including as a Healer and Mental Health Practitioner in her private practice, as a Spiritual Care Coordinator and Interfaith Chaplain at a human services agency, as well as an Addictions Counselor at a treatment center. In each of these roles, she uses a holistic approach to support clients in getting to the root of their challenges, unearthing subconscious beliefs, and strengthening their connection to their inner wisdom.

Michelle discovered Feldenkrais as a dance student in 2011. She instantly fell in love with the process of slowing down and increasing her self-awareness, as well as the tremendous shifts she experienced after the lessons. As a Feldenkrais teacher for 5 years, she has delighted in the discovery of unconscious patterns of human behavior and is fascinated by the never-ending connections of body, emotions, mind and the collective.

To augment her Feldenkrais studies, she enrolled in a Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) training in 2022. She cares about supporting people to become empowered in their experiences of pain through awareness, movement, compassion, and psychoeducation.

When Danielle took her Feldenkrais class, it broadened Michelle’s understanding of how to meet people’s needs with chronic pain in a Feldenkrais setting. She learned from Danielle’s process which lessons were most supportive, how to set a context that created more safety and the importance of human connection when dealing with pain. She is excited to bring together her Feldenkrais and PRT knowledge with Danielle’s personal and professional experience.
