Attention is Powerful
Together we create potent containers of attention for each of us to be seen
When: May 6th: 10am-5ishpm
Where: Nestled in the woods of Shutesbury, MA, exact location given upon registration
What: This day-long immersion is for people with Circling experience who would like to deepen their practice. This will be a day to inquire, slow down, and attune to the bodies and beings all around us. We will spend a whole day of listening; listening to the undercurrents of social interaction, to the silence, to the space in between us, to the little desires that often go unnoticed, to the voice inside that longs to understand another and to be understood.
We will give ourselves and each other high quality attention so that we can see and be seen.
Slowing down for a whole day can make a big impact on your sense of well-being. Connection with nature, ourselves, and each other, encourages our nervous systems to settle.
We will have time for small group focused circles, as well as time to be in nature alone and with others.

Why: The practice of Circling offers spaciousness to understand ourselves better. It can help illuminate relational blind-spots, as well as develop greater emotional resiliency by choosing to stay in connection when challenges arise. In leaning in to the connection, we hone our curiosity not only to what it is like to be another person, but also we enhance our curiosity and acceptance of who we are. This can be a profound experience as we learn to counter our habitual responses.
If you’d like to attend but haven’t Circled before, you can book a Circling intro session with Michelle to do online or in person. You can do this intro alone, or bring others to learn about the practice as well. Book an intro session here

I felt cared for and safe in a beautiful setting with delicious food...I look forward to doing this again!” - Lisa Haskin, Occupational Therapist

“The Circling and Nature Day Long Retreat was like taking a week long vacation in a single day. From the moment I arrived I felt welcomed and taken care of. Everything was thought out in such a way that it seemed well prepared but presented in an easeful way- there were warm beverages when you were cold, extra chairs if you forgot yours, breaks for solo or pair time after larger activities. It was like being welcomed to hand over the keys to a trusted friend and given the chance to sit back and rest for a while.” - Deidre
“Circling with Michelle and Ryan is a delightful feast of presence. They bring a strong and clear leadership that infuses the container with rooted and easeful presence, where every mood is welcome. After circling with Michelle and Ryan I am always struck by how heart and bone nourished i feel in the wake of sustained relational attunement. The practice really supports my personal growth by offering me robust feedback with how i show up in relationship, within a context of safety and permission that encourages me to release shame and judgement and move deeper into compassionate acceptance for myself and others. A divine practice!”- Christopher Collins
COVID: We will be outside for the entire day. This is a fair weather event and will be postponed if it rains. Please don’t come if you have had any exposure to anyone with Covid recently, or if you have any cold symptoms at all. If you are unsure, please contact us to share your situation.
BATHROOMS: You can use the woods or there will be access to an indoor bathroom (with masks)
